HC Deb 22 July 1970 vol 804 cc163-4W
Mrs. Doris Fisher

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science when she will include in the major building programmes a scheme for the replacement of Charles Arthur Secondary Modern School, Nechells, Birmingham.

Mr. van Straubenzee

The resources available for the replacement of old schools are being concentrated on primary schools built before 1903. I am aware of the deficiences of this secondary school, where the main building dates from 1911, but I cannot say when it will be possible to replace it.
