Mr. Douglas

asked the Prime Minister if he will now make a statement on his proposed official visits to sporting events in Scotland in the coming months and the relationship between these visits and the framing of Government policy towards sport.

The Prime Minister

On 25th July I shall be visiting Edinburgh to attend the final day of the British Commonwealth Games, and on the following day I shall have the honour of opening the Commonwealth Paraplegic Games. These visits are not specially linked to the framing of Government policy towards sport, on which Questions should be addressed to the responsible Minister.
