HC Deb 21 July 1970 vol 804 c100W
Mr. Arthur Lewis

asked the Prime Minister what is his policy regarding the use of State offices and buildings, &c., for the purposes of entertaining the general public; whether official parties and garden parties held at Chequers and No. 10 Downing Street will include, in addition to those engaged in the export trade, participants from the entertainment world; and whether on occasions he will invite some back-bench Members of Parliament.

The Prime Minister

My policy in relation to official functions where I am the host will be to invite the most appropriate guests for each occasion.
