HC Deb 20 July 1970 vol 804 c3W
56. Mr. Rankin

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what steps are being taken to bring greater measures of safety to tenants in resettlement areas in Hong Kong, in view of the increase of crimes of violence during this year in these estates.

Mr. Anthony Royle

Widespread measures to check the increase in crimes of violence have been taken by the Commissioner of Police, resulting in a sharp drop in reported robberies. Provision has been made in the public works programme for four new major police stations in resettlement areas.
