Mr. Sillars

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services how many consultants in England and Wales between the age of 56 and 60 years, the age of 50 and 56 years, and under 50 years, respectively, are presently paid for distinction awards in the categories A-plus, A and B respectively.

At 31st December, 1969, the latest date for which information is available; the figures for England and Wales were:

Mr. Sillars

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services how many part-time and full-time consultants, respectively, in England and Wales in 1969 were granted study leave with pay and expenses involving visits to other countries; and whether the expenses were paid from endowment or National Health Service revenue resources.
