asked the Minister of Transport if he will now cancel all plans for the metrication of road signs.

As far as I am aware, the only such plans announced by the previous Administration were for the metrication of speed limit signs in 1973. They will be reviewed in the context of metrication as a whole, in the light of the report of the Metrication Board published in May.
