HC Deb 30 January 1970 vol 794 c405W
Mr. Buchanan-Smith

asked the Minister for the Civil Service which new Government offices or agencies were sited in Scotland in 1969; and how many jobs were provided in each case.

Mr. Shore

In July, 1969, it was announced that the third wing of the Civil Service College would be sited in Edinburgh. On present estimates about 100 jobs will be provided. There has been continuing progress on decisions previously announced to establish Government work in Scotland; during the year over 800 jobs were transferred from London to Edinburgh and Glasgow.
