HC Deb 19 February 1970 vol 796 c174W
Mr. Arthur Lewis

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether, in view of the shortage of police for carrying out normal police duties, he is satisfied that, when during the forthcoming visit by the South African cricket team police are taken off normal duties to patrol inside and outside the cricket grounds, sufficient staff will remain for normal crime prevention and detection of robberies and other criminal activities; and if he will make a statement.
