102. Mr. Speed

asked the President of the Board of Trade if his Department will consult with the Meriden Rural District Council and the Bickerhill Parish Council about the proposed National Exhibition Centre.

Mr. Mason

I shall be pleased to receive any representations which the Meriden Rural District Council and the Bickerhill Parish Council may wish to make with regard to the National Exhibition Centre project.

However, so far as planning issues are concerned it will at any rate in the first instance be for the local planning authority to consider such matters as the councils may wish to raise.
