HC Deb 16 February 1970 vol 796 c51W
105. Mr. O'Halloran

asked the Minister of Housing and Local Government what are the Islington Borough Council's new housing figures for 1969–70; and what is the future planning programme submitted to him for 1971, 1972 and 1973.

Mr. Freeson

Housing programmes in London are agreed with authorities on the basis of the number of dwellings which will be put to tender in a calendar year. In 1969 Islington Borough Council put 1,054 dwellings to tender. In October, 1969, its programme for 1970, based on specific sites, was agreed at approximately 2,700 units. For each year 1971 to 1973, inclusive, the council is hoping to put some 2,000 units to tender.

These programmes will be discussed further with the authority in the near future.
