107. Mr. Simon Mahon

asked the Minister of Housing and Local Government how many rate rebates were paid in the County Borough of Bootle for the past five years; and what is his estimate for 1970–71.

Mr. Denis Howell

Rate rebates did not begin until 1st April, 1966. The numbers afforded up to 31st March, 1969, are as follows:

The figures for 1969–70 will be available later this year. Future numbers cannot be accurately estimated, but will probable be within the range of those given above.
