HC Deb 11 February 1970 vol 795 cc352-3W
Miss Devlin

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what progress has been made with arrangements for financing the Central Housing Authority in Northern Ireland so as to eliminate the housing problem; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. William Rodgers

The arrangements for financing the Central Housing Authority are the responsibility of the Government of Northern Ireland. I would draw the hon. Lady's attention to that Government's announcement yesterday of a housing programme of 73,500 houses over the next 5 years. Financial backing for this will be provided by the United Kingdom Government.
