asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will give the number of health centres in Scotland, the capital cost of each at time of building, the date of completion in each case, and the number of general practitioners attached to each centre.

There are 18 health centres in Scotland. The other information requested is set out in the table below.

It has been publicly reported that a considerable number of councils would like to make such sales, but I cannot state precisely how many houses are involved. The following authorities have already sought and obtained my consent to sell houses:

  • Banff County Council.
  • Berwick County Council.
  • Caithness County Council.
  • Inverness County Council.
  • Ross and Cromarty County Council.
  • Inverness Town Council.
  • Dalbeattie Town Council.
  • Inverkeithing Town Council.
  • Thurso Town Council.
  • Turriff Town Council.
