asked the Secretary of State for Scotland how many nursery classes are presently provided in each of the burghs of Buckhaven and Methil, Kirkcaldy and Burntisland, respectively.

The provision at January, 1970, the latest date for which information is available to me, was as follows:

Buck haven and Methil:

  • Buckhaven Primary School Nursery Class (Roll 25).
  • The Paxton Nursery Class (Roll 84).

Kirkcaldy:

  • Sinclairtown Primary School Nursery Class (Roll 40).
  • Hayfield Nursery School (Roll 42).

Burntisland:

  • Nil.
