§ 119. Mr. Meacher
asked the Secretary of State for the Environment how many tenants in furnished accommodation who have applied to a rent tribunal for the second time for a further extension of their security of tenure have not, for each of the last five years, been granted this second extension.
§ Mr. Amery
In the 18 months April 1969—September 1970, 650 tenants in England and Wales were refused extension of their security on a second application, against 1,385 tenants who were granted it. Figures on second applications are not available for earlier periods, nor are any figures for withdrawals of such applications.345W
