asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will obtain reports from chief constables indicating what restrictions are placed on members of police forces in writing to or lobbying their Members of Parliament

On my present information, I do not think that this course would be justified. But if the hon. Member has any particular point in mind I shall be glad to consider it.
