HC Deb 27 April 1970 vol 800 cc226-7W
Mr. Hobden

asked the Secretary of State for Employment and Productivity what progress is being made in making increased provision for work for severely disabled persons in Brighton; how many are out of work to the nearest available date; and how this compares with 12 months ago.

Mr. Dell:

It was announced following a Brighton Council meeting last year that plans have been approved in principle for a sheltered workshop for 30–40 severely disabled people to be built around 1971–72 in Brighton, where last month there were 43 such people registered as unemployed, compared with 49 in March last year.
