HC Deb 27 April 1970 vol 800 c251W
Mrs. Ewing

asked the Minister for the Civil Service what bodies, authorities or associations in Scotland have been consulted in connection with the establishment of a Civil Service College or branch thereof in Scotland.

Mr. Shore:

The selection of Edinburgh as the location for one of the three centres of the Civil Service College was announced in July, 1969, after full consultation with my right hon. Friends the Secretary of State for Scotland and the Minister of Public Building and Works. Detailed plans for the establishment of the centre are now being prepared and consultation with other interests concerned which will, of course, include Edinburgh Corporation and the Scottish Universities, will take place as appropriate.
