HC Deb 27 April 1970 vol 800 c253W
Mr. Carol Johnson

asked the Minister of Housing and Local Government (1) what conclusions he has reached arising out of his reconsideration of the question of help for those owner-occupiers whose property is under threat as a result of proposed public development on nearby land and who, as a result, cannot sell their property at a reasonable price;

(2) whether he has yet reached a decision on the programme for legislation on the present compensation code, to meet the cases of blight arising from threatened public development.

Mr. Denis Howell:

We have not yet completed the wide-ranging examination referred to in the statement I made in the debate on the Planning Blight and Worsenment Bill on 27th February.
