Local authorities have reported to the Minister recently that they intend to clear 94,000 slums this year and 91,000, 86,000 and 180W 78,000 in the next three years. These compare with a yearly average of 61,000 in the years 1963 to 1965 and 70,000 in the years 1966 to 1969.
