§ Dr. Summerskillasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science if he will make a statement on the plans for the Reorganisation of secondary education for comprehensive purposes in Halifax.
§ Miss Bacon:I understand that the local education authority's working party is engaged in reassessing the plan for a middle school (8–12) pattern of reorganisation which was submitted to me in 1967. It is also exploring two alternative arrangements 9–13 middle schools and sixth form colleges.
