Mr. Buchanan-Smith

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food how many cattle have been slaughtered, and how much compensation paid, in England and Wales under the Brucellosis Eradication Scheme in each year since the scheme started.

The following is the information required, for the period from the inception of the Brucellosis (Accredited Herds) Scheme up to 31st March, 1970:
