HC Deb 14 November 1969 vol 791 cc164-5W
Mr. Michael McNair-Wilson

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services how many National Health Service hospitals, built in the past 10 years, were completed in accordance with the time stated in the original contract.

Mr. Crossman

In the past ten years the building of 20 complete hospitals, as distinct from phases, was finished. Of these 8 were finished either by the date for completion originally stated in the contract or by an extended date granted under the terms of the contract. The remainder were not finished on time.
