§ 41. Mr. Wingfield Digbyasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government what steps he is taking to encourage economy in use of the country's water supplies.
§ Mr. K. RobinsonWater undertakings already take steps to detect and prevent leakage and waste. The chief ways of securing greater economy are to provide more storage for winter surpluses, to reuse river water more times, which implies more control of discharges, and to make more use of recycling in industrial processes. All these are being actively pursued.
