HC Deb 27 January 1969 vol 776 c225W
Mr. Rose

asked the Minister of Transport how much was spent per head of population on roads in the years 1966, 1967 and 1968 in the North-West and Scottish regions, respectively.

Mr. Bob Brown

Expenditure per head in the North-West Region was £5.7 in 1966 and is provisionally estimated at £6.7 in 1967.

I understand from my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Scotland that expenditure per head of population was estimated at £9.0 in 1966 and £11.0 in 1967.

Figures for 1968 will not be available until later this year.
