§ Sir H. Harrisonasked the Minister of Transport if he will state his plans in respect of the Ufford, Wickham Market and Saxmundham by-passes on the A12, estimating in each case the financial year in which work will be started.
§ Mr. MarshThe Ufford, Wickham Market and Saxmundham bypasses are competing with other highway improvement schemes throughout the country for places in our trunk road preparation pool. When they have secured a place we shall start the preparatory work which will enable us to decide in what year construction should start. I cannot at present forecast when this might be.
