HC Deb 17 February 1969 vol 778 c31W
94. Sir S. McAdden

asked the Minister of Transport, in view of the hazards to which pedestrians from Fenchurch Street Station to Tower Hill Station are daily subjected during the rush hours, whether he will take steps with the appropriate bodies to make arrangements designed to reduce the risks from traffic in this area.

Mr. Marsh

This is a matter for the Greater London Council as traffic authority. I understand it is aware of the difficulties facing pedestrians and is examining possible solutions in conjunction with the Corporation of the City of London and the City Police.
