asked the Minister of Transport what discussions he has had with the city council of Carlisle to secure a facility for buses which have replaced the Waverley line to set down and uplift passengers at Carlisle railway station.

This matter is being discussed between the Railways Board and the City Council. My Department has been kept informed.
