asked the Minister of Housing and Local Government on what date an increase of £547,000 in the rate support grant received by Warwickshire was announced by his Department; and on what date this information was communicated to the Clerk of the Council.

The latest estimates of the rate support grant for Warwickshire County Council were notified to the Clerk of the Council on 3rd January, 1969. The estimate for 1969–70 showed an increase of £1,361,675 over 1968–69. The estimate of the needs element of rate support grant for 1969–70 was £587,081 higher than the provisional estimate given in the Report on the Rate Support Grant Order, 1968, which was based on earlier data.
