HC Deb 04 February 1969 vol 777 c65W
Q10. Mr. Arthur Lewis

asked the Prime Minister whether he is aware of the difficulties experienced by members of the public and Members of Parliament in obtaining telephone connections with his office on Monday, 27th January; what was the reason for this; and what action he proposes to take to prevent this in the future.

The Prime Minister

I understand that these difficulties resulted from unofficial action by certain Post Office telephonists staffing the Treasury switchboard in connection with the recent dispute between the Post Office and the Union of Post Office Workers. As my hon. Friend is aware, this dispute has now been settled.
