§ Mr. Priorasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer how many times he has increased Public Works Loan Board interest rates in the last 18 months.
§ Mr. Harold LeverSince 30th June, 1967, the P.W.L.B. rates of interest on quota loans have been changed 14 times. On 10 occasions rates were increased; they were reduced on two occasions and twice there were both increases and decreases.
Over the same period, P.W.L.B. non-quota rates have been changed 13 times; on 10 rates were increased and on three there were reductions.
