§ Mr. Leadbitterasked the Minister of Transport (1) what information he obtained about the total passenger loads at Sunderland and Hartlepool on the Sunderland-Hartlepool-King's Cross through service for each of the past five years before reaching his decision to approve closure of these lines;
(2) what information he obtained about the revenue to British Railways from the Sunderland-Hartlepool-King's Cross through service for the morning and evening journeys, respectively, for each of the past five years, before approving the closure of these lines.
§ Mr. MarshThe Railways Board have not proposed these lines for closure, and there is, therefore, no question of my giving my approval.
