Passenger Transport Authority Meetings (Admission of the Press)

Mr. Leslie Huckfield

asked the Minister of Transport whether he will give a general direction to passenger transport authorities that the Press must be admitted to their meetings.

Mr. Mulley

The passenger transport authorities are covered by the Public Bodies (Admission to Meetings) Act, 1960, which applies to local authorities and similar bodies. I see no reason to make provision beyond this.
