asked the Minister of Transport whether it is still his intention to proceed with the system of special authorisations as set out in the Transport Act, 1968.

Mr. Mulley

The Government's policy on special authorisations and on the timing of their introduction was set out in the White Paper on the Transport of Freight. I have nothing to add to this at present.
