§ Mrs. CastleMy Department is undertaking a series of studies in depth in selected local areas to examine the characteristics of the unemployed and the vacancies in each area. Also, a multi-purpose pilot survey of households is planned for 1970, and it is hoped by this means to test the feasibility of identifying groups of people who could contribute to the labour reserve.
