§ 88. Mr. Tilneyasked the Minister of Technology whether, with a view to avoiding the deleterious effect of establishing a nuclear power station in the Dee Estuary on the multi-purpose scheme for land and fresh water reclamation there, he will instruct the Central Electricity Generating Board to submit to him an alternative site elsewhere so that such a site can be considered at the same time as the one proposed at Connah's Quay.
§ Mr. VarleyMy right hon. Friend has no power to instruct the Board to submit alternative sites, but a study is being made of the effects of the proposed station on plans for the area, and the Board's application will be considered when the results of this more comprehensive study are available.
