asked the Minister of Housing and Local Government whether he will reconsider his decision announced in circular 75/69 that no further allocation for house purchase is to be made to the county borough of Bournemouth for the year ending 31st March, 1970.

Some authorities have recently informed my right hon. Friend that they are unlikely to take up the full amounts allocated to them for the current financial year. He is considering how any savings, not so far quantified, might be re-distributed, but it will be a few more days before he will have the information on which he can give an undertaking to any particular authority.
