§ Mr. TaverneThe amount of corporation tax due from building societies in 1967–68 is estimated at £14 million.
Building societies also pay income tax, mainly at a composite rate in respect of dividends and interest payable to investors; the amount due in 1968–69 is estimated at £151 million.
