§ Mr. Roebuckasked the Attorney-General, in view of the uncertainty about the law of contempt so far as it relates to the publication and transmission of interviews with, or comment about, persons whose arrest is imminent, whether he will take steps, by legislation or otherwise, to clarify the position.
§ The Attorney-GeneralMy noble Friend the Lord Chancellor and I have carefully considered the points which my hon. Friend has in mind, and have concluded that a further enquiry into the law of contempt would not be justified at the present time.
