asked the Postmaster-General what percentage of domestic telephones in the Folkestone and Hythe telephone exchange are shared lines; and how this compares with the national average.

Mr. Joseph Slater

Folkestone 40.6 per cent.; Hythe 40.4 per cent.

The national average is 27.3 per cent.
