§ Mrs. HartBy the middle of this month standard local authority wage rates, together with more favourable rules about expenses, will have been brought into use as a measure of the net earning capacity of labourers and light labourers where this was previously assessed on the the basis of regionally prescribed figures. This will have helped the main group of those affected by the wage stop. The process of dealing with all the remaining cases, by examining their individual circumstances, will begin at the end of this month. Some of the detailed changes will, of course, take a little while to introduce.
§ 58. Mr. Gwilym Robertsasked the Minister of Social Security, whether the changes proposed in the White Paper on the Administration of the Wage Stop will be delayed as a result of the introduction of arrangements for refunding prescription charges.
