§ Mr. Dalyellasked the Minister of Health (1) if he will define the projects on which he is collaborating with the Royal Radar Establishment, Malvern;

(3) what collaboration on the development of equipment he has with the Royal Radar Establishment, Malvern, for the study and accurate location of circulatory ailments such as varicose veins.
§ Mr. K. RobinsonMy Department is interested in the development of thermo-graphic equipment in the hope that it will prove useful in the diagnosis of certain conditions. These include deep varicosities and breast cancer. Some work has already been done on these problems using machines available commercially. The Royal Radar Establishment has also developed thermo-graphic equipment in the course of its normal work and is at present considering, at my Department's request, the production of one model of this equipment for clinical trials to establish the optimum performances which would be desirable in commercially produced equipment. The cost is not yet known and this will be one of the factors taken into account.
