§ 47. Mr. J. H. Osbornasked the Postmaster-General how many computers he has now purchased, or are on order for hire to users outside the Post Office; and what are his proposals for the next three years, bearing in mind the Government cuts on capital expenditure.
§ Mr. Edward ShortNo computers have so far been purchased or ordered for this purpose. Provision has been made for expenditure of £0.5 million on commercial N.D.P.S. business in 1968–69. No specific commitments have yet been made for such expenditure in the following two years but sums of £2–5 million and £3 million are in mind.
