§ Mr. John Pageasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he will publish 82W a copy of the instructions he has issued to the Commissioners of Customs and Excise showing the criteria whereby import deposits will be remitted on the basis of reasonable expectation that all or part of the goods being imported will, after further processing or not by any number of intermediate organisations, be re-exported by another party.
§ Mr. Harold LeverThe Commissioners have issued Notice No. 482 for the guidance of importers which explains the bases on which relief for exports will be granted and which invites them to consult, as necessary, with the local Customs Officer. Copies of this notice are available in the Vote Office.
