HC Deb 10 April 1968 vol 762 cc281-2W
Dr. Winstanley

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department (1) if he will introduce legislation to make local authorities responsible for ensuring that racialist slogans are removed from private property in places exposed to public view;

(2) if he will advise local authorities to ensure that racialist slogans are removed from public places as soon as possible after they are discovered.

Mr. Ennals

I have no reason to believe that such legislation or advice is necessary.
