§ Mr. SkeffingtonThe mileage of towpath along the Thames in Oxfordshire and Berkshire is 38 and 50 respectively; the length of river-bank footpaths over which the public have a right of way is 21 miles in Oxfordshire and 52 miles in Berkshire. Not all the Thames towpath is a public right of way; a public right of way exists on some riverside paths which are not towpaths. It would not be meaningful to express one as a percentage of the other.
