asked the Minister of Social Security what increase in the cost of living there has been since the last increase in the level of supplementary benefit.

asked the Minister of Social Security (1) what estimate she has made of the number of families who will still be living below supplementary benefit level after the further increase of 3s. in October;

(2) what estimate she has made of the number of families who will be living below supplementary benefit level after the 7s. increase in family allowances on 9th April.

It is not possible to make any reliable estimate of the numbers in either case.

asked the Minister of Social Security what is the total amount of supplementary benefits paid out in the most recent period of 12 months for which figures are available to persons coming from abroad within that period.
