HC Deb 04 April 1968 vol 762 c130W
Mrs. Ewing

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department, of the policemen and demonstrators, respectively, who were taken to hospital following the recent incidents in Grosvenor Square, how many were kept in hospital for four days or more and how many working days were lost.

Mr. Taverne

Twenty of the 117 police officers who were injured and 31 members of the public, received hospital treatment. None was detained in hospital for more than two days.

By 1st April, a total of 322 working days had been lost by the police. I do not know how many working days were lost by the other persons involved.
