Mr. Ted Fletcher
asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what estimate he has made of the saving that will result from the decision to stop the payment of the first three days of sickness for wage-earners; and what would be the estimated saving if all salaried Government employees, who are now paid during periods of sickness were denied the payment of their salaries during the first three days of sickness.
