HC Deb 03 April 1968 vol 762 c108W
Mr. Batsford

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer how much of the £585 million provided for loans to local authorities in England, Scotland and Wales by the Public Works Loan Board was advanced in the year ended 31st March, 1968; and how much of this sum will be drawn, as carry over loans, in 1968–69.

Mr. Harold Lever

For the year ended 31st March, 1968 actual issues amounted to £444 million. The amount authorities may carry over is limited to 10 per cent. of their 1967–68 quotas. How much they draw on the carry-over depends upon the local authorities themselves.
